In this blog post, I outline scripture that the Lord has used to light my path. This season of preparing to go on the ‘Expedition Route‘ missions trip in August 2020 has been so so great. I linked a video at the bottom of this blog post where I share what the Lord is doing in my life, using this outline as my guide. As I, we, my church, your church, our communities consecrate and give to the Lord, as it is written, the Lord will do wonders among us! The Holy Spirit is moving!

 Acts 13:2-3 (NKJV)

As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.

ministering to the Lord

Exodus 36:2-7 (NKJV)

Then Moses called Bezalel and Aholiab, and every gifted artisan in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, everyone whose heart was stirred, to come and do the work. And they received from Moses all the offering which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of making the sanctuary. So they continued bringing to him freewill offerings every morning. Then all the craftsmen who were doing all the work of the sanctuary came, each from the work he was doing, and they spoke to Moses, saying, “The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the Lord commanded us to do.”

So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, “Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary.” And the people were restrained from bringing, for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done—indeed too much.

––abundance of freewill offerings.

Daniel 10:3 (ESV)

I ate no delicacies, no meat or wine entered my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, for the full three weeks.

Luke 24:49 (NKJV)

49 Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”

––tarry until endued with power.

set apart

Joshua 3:5 (ESV)

Then Joshua said to the people, Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”

James 1:21-22 (NKJV)

21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

Exodus 40:34-35 (NKJV)

34 Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 35 And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

––filling of the tabernacle by the glory of God.

––tabernacle: portable earthly dwelling place of Yahweh.

Romans 5:1-5 (NKJV)

1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

––glory in tribulations… produces perseverance, character, hope.
